I need some recommendations on music to listen to when I want to break shit. When I first started listening to metal, it was Pantera and most recently it's been Pig Destroyer and DEP. Other bands through the past few years have been Meshuggah, SYL, Fear Factory, Static X, The Rotted, Soulfly, Converge, etc. I just want some intense music that I can scream to. Any thoughts or is this going to flounder?

SYL is by far the most fitting band for this, obviously. City album and some of Alien.

Old school death metal is the purest example of rage I can think of.

Anyone who can take the intensity of thrash, mix it up with good death growls and fast drumming makes for a good pissed off mood.

Other then that Kreator, Morbid Saint, Dark Angel, Hypnosia and faster then usual thrash bands do the job just as well.

Some brutal death and I mean good brutal death and not that slam shit. Some bands I find that work are: Visceral Bleeding, Insidious Decrepancy, and Bloodsoaked.

happy hunting.

Th first two songs of Ulysses Siren's album are heavy and aggressive as hell. That'd be my choice....that or Hammer Smashed Face by Cannibal Corpse.

That album really drops off in quality after the initial listen.

I don't find so. And their first one, Orchestra of Wolves, is also really good.

Second SYL

Also, Nasum! Particularly Inhale/Exhale because it's a little more raw. But thinking about Helvete and Human 2.0 some more, I'm not sure that it matters.

Also, perhaps Napalm Death? I'm not too familiar with them overall, but Scum seems to be a pretty good example of "anger" or "hate" distilled to it's base elements.

So, looking at some other posts in this thread, I would suggest punky things. Angry punky things.

Suffocation-Despise the sun

short EP, but its quite possibly the best they've ever done. If you combine the technical aspect of Pierced from within the brutality of Effigy combined with better production. The EP is the best brutal death metal sound bar none.
