They posted a song on their myspace so I thought I'd make a thread about the album. Sounds really good

Meh. I thought A Celebration of Guilt was a great album, after that none of their stuff has really done much for me.

I was a little disappointed with We Are the Nightmare but United in Regret was great and this sounds awesome too.

Just listened to the new track, sounds pretty damn good. Definitely an album I'm looking forward to.

It didn't sound exactly like their older stuff. I think I like it.

Wow I did not like that at all. Sounded nothing like Arsis. In fact it sounded more like Arch Enemy than Arsis.

The Arch Enemy comparison is apt and kinda disheartening. I hope that this is just a single to hook the sorta mainstream Hot Topic crowds and the rest of the album will be the "good ol' Arsis".

I hope so as well but looking at their myspace shows they are touring with Arch Enemy so that could have something to do with the new sound. I honestly wish they would just explore the sound they had on a diamond for disease ep. As far as I'm concerned that is the best work James Malone has done yet.

Have a listen to them then, this new Arsis song sounds exactly like something Arch Enemy would do. Hell, even the vocals kinda sounds like Angela. I'm with below and trapt, hopefully this is the only Arch Enemy song on Starve...

Yeah, I don't believe that noodles is unaware of what Arch Enemy sound like.

Sorta sounds like older Arsis, I like it. We Are The Nightmare was cool, but I sorta liked their more upbeat melodeath stuff like this.

Should be good times.

I knew they were a melodeath band but not much else beyond that. Not enough to know whether this sounds more like them than previous Arsis stuff anyways.

I listened to a couple songs and AE riffs aren't as technical and tasty as Beyond Forlorn's. The vocals are pretty similar but that's how James has always sounded.

Arch Enemy? Are you guys kidding? I heard nothing but Arsis the whole way.

Totally looking forward to this, btw.

I loved We Are The Nightmare. Hell, everything that Arsis has released (with the exception of United In Regret) I've liked, and this new song doesn't undermine that in any way.

Also, the Arch Enemy comparisons are lulz.

I listened to A Diamond for Disease for the first time in ages and man it's so good. I love the guitar solo that's in the background jumping around the whole time but occasionally comes to the forefront so when it does it's like OHSHIT
