Dur, totally forgot about Dying Fetus and Fleshgod. I'll throw those into the mix. The new Dying Fetus was great. I should start spinning it again.

3 - Fleshgod Apocalypse - Oracles

5 - Vomitory - Carnage Euphoria

Disappointments - Suffocation, Cannibal Corpse, Vader

Still have to listen to the new : Hypocrisy, Kalisia, The Chasm, Dying Fetus, Miseration.

Man I'm behind on Death Metal this year.

Nice list, I can't stop listening to the new Hypocrisy, hope you like it like I did. I wasn't sure what to expect but its awesome. Miseration is good too, though I miss some of the prior album's approach.

1. Ulcerate - Everything is Fire
2. She Said Destroy - This City Speaks In Tongues
3. Behemoth - Evangelion
4. Nile - Those Whom The Gods Detest
5. Obituary - Darkest Day

This was a pretty incredible year for death metal imo.

Cool eurocentrism but to America and the internet, ie: the world, it was released on Nov 17, 2008.

Yeah, going by official release dates rather than when the internet scum first got their grubby claws on it, it's 2009.

Read my post right, Zad. I was saying the American release date was in 2008. Everyone in the whole world had access to buy it in 2008. Who the fuck would say a release date is the day it leaks?

What's you sauce for the 2008 American date, because

http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/BLABBE ... mID=108118

and according to RYM it was only released in Norway in 2008. Seperate release dates don't mean that everyone in the world can buy it then, surely?
