There is nothing old school in the new Kreator other than the name of the band, good album though.

?? Hordes of Chaos sounds direct from between 1988 and 1990. Mainly the production, but also the songs are very different from their predecessors.

Hmmm, I'm going to have to disagree. Hordes of Chaos sounds like Violent Revolution II in my opinion. I have to get this off my chest as well, Hordes of Chaos the song has the most retarded chorus I have ever heard.

Violent Revolution Part 2 was Enemy of God. ;-) Ok, it's more melodic, but the songs are very wild compared to the big produced predecessors.

But I have to extend my list with the Sacrifice, BUT also with the newly discovered "Suicidal Angels - Sanctify the Darkness". And if the Kreator is not old school, this IMO is! :dio:

New List:

1. Warbringer - Waking into Nightmares (IMO the thrash album with the strongest songs like: Living in a Whirlwind, Scorched Earth, Severed Reality, Abandoned by Time, Pray for Death and so on)
2. Suicidal Angels - Sanctify the Darkness (THAT Album is exactly what I have expected from the new Evile!)
3. VEKTOR - Black Future
4. Slayer - World Painted Blood
5. Sacrifice - The Ones I Condemn and Megadeth - Endgame

And then the rest like Artillery - When Death Comes, Kreator - Hordes of Chaos, Blood Tsunami - Grand Feast for Vultures and others.

listening to Vektor now.

HOLY SHIT

awesome

this is the way these new bands should sound. Fast, intense, yet progressive and awesome. Very cool and recommended stuff. Should definitely make my top 5 end of year list.
