I officially re-dub this topic "The Official Saxophone (And Other Non-Metal Instruments) Thread". :D

I want to buy a cello but they are expensive and I'm already trying to learn like 3 other instruments. I've heard that they get you hard because they're vibrating and between your legs and shit :D

Anyway... I've always wanted a bassoon. I've heard they're difficult to play because of the mouthpiece; it's supposedly HELL on your mouth muscles. But they sound fucking cool.

I'm actually learning the upright bass in school, and it is a very difficult instrument. It's nothing like playing a regular bass, and you pretty much have to start from square one if you want to learn it. It's tough, but it's a really cool instrument.

Never heard about cellos giving you erections though.... Hmmmm.....

My mom has an upright bass and yeah, to not sound like shit I'll need to start over and learn how to pluck the strings properly and get intonation down.

I have a Tenor; I have played since I was 10, I think. I used to get the odd gig with my John Coltran tribute act, hehe, but I'm a bit off the scene now.

Man, I would kill someone for a Baritone, though.

So monday I tried out some guitars and kind of fell in love with a Gib Les Paul Studio, so I thought "man, in like 6 months or a year I will totally buy one of these" because I've been spending too much on guitar stuff (spent 800$ on an Orange Tiny Terror a month or so ago). So then Tuesday morning I check usedvictoria and oh hay it's the same guitar with the same finish on there for 900$ (new was 1450 or smth). NOW IDK WHAT TO DO. I wanted it in a year not one day, universe >_<

ps. minor chords are the best chords. Runner up is 1/5/7 chords because they just sound kind of odd but in a cool way.

I had a black gibson les paul studio many years ago. Great guitar, but the neck is a little to thick for my liking. You should get a great price used.

Right now my game plan is that I won't have the ability to get the money together to buy it until Wednesday, so if it isn't sold by then I will go check it out. Either way they show up used pretty regularly
