I'd have to say Blackmore, at least on a songwriting basis. Plus, he never made the mistake of thinking he could sing. :wink:

hmmm...

I actually think Roth is the more technically adept guitarist.
Interesting that Blackmore is sweeping it, though.

Kinda with Banshee here, but I'm a little torn. Both are great, but Blackmore blew me away the first couple of times I heard him.

Hmmm... I'd be hard pressed myself to pick one over the other.
They are both phenomenal musicians, they both were way ahead of their peers at the time, they both had a hand in influencing what was to be known as neo-classical / shred guitar...

I'd really like to see these guys duel, not necessarily to see who wins, but it would be something to see (hear).
