Plenty from the last Hammerfall album, for one. Classic Edguy (everything pre-Tinnitus) is great, too. Avantasia's first album...

Secret Sphere and Vision Divine have some of the catchiest I've heard, as well as (dare I say it?) DragonForce.

Avantasia/Edguy is great! Love all of it! Sorry, I should have asked what is new and fresh for 2008-2009. My bad

Thank you!

Anything from the first four Sonata Arctica albums is amazingly catchy.

Power Quest is pretty damn catchy too.

Modern stuff... Cain's Offering, maybe... Ari Koivunen is pretty tailor-made for radio-friendly power metal, i.e. catchy... Haven't been that many unexpectedly good power metal releases in the past year, unfortunately...

Alas, besides the new Sonata Arctica, I haven't listened to any power metal this year. And I doubt the next year will change: I've grown quite tired of the genre.

Freedom Call is pretty catchy. Thanks for the recommendation. Freedom Call is now my favorite up-to-date.

You said Heavenly for second, although their Dust to Dust album tends to be abit complex, I would have to say Virtuocity comes pretty close. We'll see what the new Heavenly album has to offer.

Sonata's early days and ermmm Hammerfall's 'Hearts on Fire' song? When you mentioned Power Metal, that was the first tune that rang in my mind.

I can't believe no one has said Gamma Ray. In the aggregate, this band probably has the most catchy choruses, as well as the catchiest choruses of all time.

Iron Savior - Titans of our Time
Melodius - Novelist
Alestorm - Wolves of the Sea (I still count this as Power Metal)
Axxis - Blood Angel
Blind Guardian - Mirror Mirror
Celesty - Autumn Leaves
Derdian - War of the Gods
Drakkar - Voice of the Wind
Drakkar - Eridan Falls
Freedom Call - Metal Invasion
Helloween - Ummm.... too many to list.
Heavenly - Just about everything
Luca Turilli - Prince of the Starlight
Sabaton - 40:1
Masterplan - Spirit Never Dies
Theocracy - A Tower of Ashes
Versailles - Aristocrat's Symphony

I do have to agree with Octo, pretty much EVERY DragonForce chorus is catchy as hell.
