Shinjuku Thief-Procession of souls. This song scares me to death. This song will make you think bad awkward things about yourself and others, truly a classic piece. This song can be only found on this compliation called "Funeral Songs"

Please do not list any Cold Meat Industry bands.

Just heard the song and it sounds just like Void of Silence also from Italy. They are good but didn't frighten me. It was actually very sad music. Shinjuku Thief has no vocals and is not metal. They use these strange horns and other strange instruments that is so hard to describe. Thanks for the recommendation.

Check The Axis Of Perdition's first two albums out, Jinsoo, reviewed on this site. Seriously freaky stuff.

Shape of Despair have a pretty terrifying sound, and Darsombra is the stuff of nightmares. I will also second The Axis of Perdition, particularly the album Deleted Scenes from the Transition Hospital.

Other terrifying sounding stuff I can list (just going by what I've reviewed):

Comatose Vigil
Khlyst
Abstract Spirit

They only made one LP and it's the one you're talking about (Transcendence Into the Peripheral). It contains the two songs Steve is referring to, though the one is actually called "The Spirits of the Tall Hills". It also has re-recorded, and better, versions of the three songs off the Dusk EP. If you liked it, you should really like Transcendence Into the Peripheral.

This probably isn't what you're looking for, but Lemmy's performance on the title track from Orgasmatron is absolutely spinechilling. Heavier than the Sepultura cover, even.

You like it? I don't like it. Too groove metal, not enough atmosphere, and Cavalera just sounds annoyed whilst Lemmy has a real epic ominous thing going on.

"epic, ominous" and "absolutely spinechilling" are words you would use to describe a song called "Orgasmatron"? That's, like Spinal Tap levels of silliness. "Lick My Love Pump" comes to mind.
