I won't list mine because most of them goes back in the 80's. What are your favorite metal ballads?

Don't mention Masterplan, Heavenly. Blind Guardian, WASP, ALL 80's, Virtuocity, Firewind, Arnaldo Garcia, Pablo G. Solar, Bob Katsionis, David Valdes, Europe, Bloodgood, Sacred Warrior, Bride, Vengence Rising, Vision Divine, NR, Pyramaze, Etc.

I love intros too. I especially like Ancient Rites "The return" Piano intro. ALL sad ballads are appreciated, something so sad it rots your guts. your insides, deep inside your core.

AGAIN, it must be extremely sad where it puts me to tears. Deep sadnesss. Thank you very much.

Nice mention of Scorpions.
Their early material in general (especially the Roth years, but also all the way up to Love At first Sting) is outstanding.
Virgin Killer, Taken By Force, Lovedrive, Blackout...
Some real bona fide classics, there. (hint)
Also, a nod for mentioning Stairway To heaven.

My favorite Manowar song, ever.
I don't know if I'd call it a ballad though.

Also, I'm not sure if this is a ballad technically speaking, but The Cowboy Song.
