I know, but I didn't think they'd be this prominent. Maybe it's because I've been too into Steven Wilson, I can't enjoy anything else right now.

Anneke's voice is ridiculously awesome, though. And yeah, she shares equal vocals with Devin on this one.

I love the new version of "Hyperdrive." Sounds similar but different. That make sense? Haha.

Wowee this sounds cool as fuck. Dev hasn't really done any big anthemic pop rock type songs in a while now.

Full title track posted.

"Devin Townsend fully expects that the metal community will "be like, 'The gay-o-meter is in the red, bro'" when they first hear 'Addicted,' "

Jesus. Not at all what I expected, but holy crap is it awesome! Is Devin one of the greatest songwriters of all time or what?

yes

I'm still not really sure what to expect from the whole album after hearing the sampler and that song. I have a vague idea but I don't think it'll be very accurate.

So yeah last night I found out Devin is playing Bloodstock next year and I think I crapped my pants. I wonder what band he'll get together. Gene on drums I assume.

Not sure what I think. Maybe I need to get some Enya before I listen to this.

Hmmm......not really digging this to be honest. Maybe it'll work better in the context of the album.

I like it. Hopefully the album'll mix it up a little, though.

This is out. Two songs in and so far it is awesome.

Supercrush is so fucking good. Putting Anneke on this album was the greatest idea ever.

Outstanding album, but far from super-catchy. Sure, it's more poppy, but it really sounds like Devin Townsend...happy. Not much of a deviation, really.

Some of the more jazzy drumming threw me off, especially during a song like "Supercrush." It just sort of sounded out of place.

Either way, I'm running through my second spin now and I'm loving it. Some of this operatic shit Devin is doing with his voice is killer!

Yeah the operatic stuff gets me pretty much every time he uses it on the album. imo the drumming is awesome and complements the grooveage of the riffs really well

I have to admit Ki did nothing for me but I'm really liking Addicted. In some ways it reminds me of Synchestra, one of the few Devin albums I like so that's a plus.
