I consider myself a pretty big Annihilator fan. Hell, I started listening to them 9 years ago, and only about 4 metal bands fall into that category, two of them being Sabbath and old Metallica, so they're in good company. I've never been able to get into this release, despite the fact I did listen to and enjoyed Industrial for a time. But I feel it does define what Annihilator is all about in a way. As you pointed out Annihilator is Water's band and he pretty much does what ever he wants with it without fear of reprecussions or commercial failure. He just writes the music that comes to him at the time. Most of time it is highly competent Thrash mixed with traditional metal. I have a lot of respect for Waters although I do wish he could keep the same singer for more than 2 releases.

Probably because Brent has reviewed 3 of their CDs in last than 3 weeks and then there was that news post about Water's riffmaster publicity act.

Well Annihilator IS my favorite Thrash Band. That is why I am on my quest to have all of their albums reviewed on this site.

I recall that not all drums on this album were by drum machine, I think Randy Black played SOME of the drums...?

I just talked to Mr. Waters about it himself, and he said it was only a drum machine, no Randy Black, sorry guys...
