It really doesn't groove with the music. Imagine Chris Barnes from Cannibal Corpse SINGING these lyrics:

Eyes bulging from their sockets
With every swing of my mallet
I smash your fucking head in, until brains seep in
through the cracks, blood does leak
distorted beauty, catastrophe
Steaming slop, splattered all over me

It would sound com-fucking-pletely ridiculous.

Then again, on Megadeth's 'Peace Sells...' we have

My hammer's a cold piece of blood-lethal steel.
I grin while you writhe with the pain that I deal.
Swinging the hammer, I hack through their heads,
Deviant defilers, you're next to be dead.
I unleash my hammer with sadistic intent.
Pounding, surrounding, slamming through your head. Yeah!

Their bodies convulse, in agony, and, pain.
I mangle their faces, till no features remain.
A blade for the butchering, I cut them to shreds.
First take out the organs, then cut off the head.
The remains of flesh now sop under my feet.
One more bloody massacre, the murders' complete.
I seek to dismember, a sadist fiend.
And, blood baths are my way of getting clean.
I lurk in the alleys, wait for the kill.
I have no remorse for the blood that I spill
A merciless butcher who lives underground.
I'm out to destroy you and ,I will, cut you down. (Cut you down)
I see you, and, I'm waiting ,for Black Friday.

Admittedly, Mustaine does sing it growly but still nowhere near as extreme. And it sounds great. So...?

so ? you're right and Dead Machine is wrong :P

Errrrr...Yeah.

BTW, I've just noticed that in your signature the guy's (?) lips are puckered, as if he's about to kiss (?) someone (?). It's strangely hypnotic...............................................................................................................

Meant no offense! It's cool, wish I had the time and the digital camera necessary to do such things to my own face.

Using a public PC anyway, so they won't let me plug in digicam (bass-turds). Will have to keep on finding quotations(  )

Borknagar seem to do fine with clean vocals. Although there are some bits here and there with harsh vocals. Epic was about 85% clean vocals i think.

Fantômas - The Omen (Ave Satani)

The Omen goes BM and it sounds quite extreme, even if it has clean vocals.

Fantômas amenaza al mundo!!!!

Aye, lets just say Patton can put his hands on anything and make it the most original sounding stuff ever.

So.... genius? Yeah, I would say.

I predict his black metal will be highly original, but probably because he has not heard a lot of black art. At least he did not make me believe that in the interview he gave.

Agreed, he probably knows the big names only... but meh, who cares anyway, as long as HE creates killer music it's OK for me.
