Why it is not in the classics section is beyond me.
Classic.

I explained why I didn't classicise it in the review, which you might know if you bothered reading it.

I agree with the review; though a good album, it falls short of classic status.
Dark Side Of The Moon, The Wall... those are classics.

I really like Pink Floyd up to Ummagumma. The following material bores me. Granted, there are a few gems but not enough to keep me interested.

I did read it and my message was just expressing my clear disagreement with you.

That's exactly how i feel really. Plus i think I'd rate Meddle higher than any post Ummagumma album.

Same here Daniele though I must admit having a soft spot for Animals.

I need to listen to a few of their albums again, but the mere suggestion that anything up until (and not including) their last isn't pure genius makes me want to hold my ears and scream. Prog fans are such snobs. :P

I would have to disagree too. After Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here, it's my favorite Pink Floyd album. I do agree that this is another category of Pink Floyd albums, but it is an essential album of 60s Rock, not just the Pink Floyd discography.

I disagree with your dissing of PF's good name, in other words.

Dissing? Where did I do that?
I just said I liked more the early Floyd to what followed which is, mind you, my opinion. I've never been able to listen to The Wall in one sitting for example, and tracks like Money or Wish You Were Here are nothing but 70s pop which is, in my opinion, a disgrace for a band such as PF. And I'm not even going to talk about Momentary Lapse of Reason and the Division Bell as those are clearly NOT Pink Floyd records.

You know, Anus, I think those people think it's cool to dislike a band that has success. It's silly but it happens almost every time.

Oh dear.

The Wall and Dark Side Of The Moon are absolutely great albums.
If that is "pop', than Floyd excels at it.

It's not because they had more success that I don't like post-Ummagumma Pink Floyd, it's because the music changed and started boring me. 'kay, bitch?

but everyone else thinks it's cool to dislike a band because it has success?

Prejudgemental is what you are.

What the fuck, The Wall is amazing.

One of the best films to trip to, as well. Hell, tripping to the album alone was always good times.

It's probably my favorite Floyd album, with Wish You Were Here being in close second.
