On one side we have Baron Rojo, Obus, Angeles del Infierno, Muro, Panzer, etc etc.
On the other we have Trust, Warning, Vulcain, Sortilege, Blaspheme, High Power, Satan Jokers, ADX, etc.

Choose your side(and explain why).

For the Spanish side you left out Sobredosis, Goliath, and Bella Bestia.

French side.
Though Baron Rojo is probably the finest band of both scenes, the French scene had Sortilège, Blasphème, Warning, Trust, Satan Jokers, and a few more... The Spanish were thus outnumbered by the French scene.

Many of those bands are not from the 80's Mago de Oz and Tierra Santa both began in the early 90's....at least thats when their first albums came out.

Other than that, i agree with everything Lucifer's Son said.

I don't mean all the spanish bands, only the ones from the 80s; i'm not counting here the black, grind or death bands; and also, i mean the bands that sing in Spanish( and French).

they released a demo with Loudblast in the 80's. So, they were formed in the 80's, and I think they should of made your list.

That was not a demo, that was a split album, a pretty good one too. But, as you can see, I've only listed bands that have released at least one full length in the 80s, that's why Agressor wasn't on the list.
You know, securing a record deal for a French metal band was not an easy thing in the 80s and autoproductions were not as common as they now are but I can tell you I've seen pretty good bands that never made it to the album and that's a real shame.

I was going to vote for the frenchies, but because you are being so strict about the Agressor thing, then I refuse to vote.

There, I ruined your thread and poll. Hope you are happy.

That was Stub's thread Dev'...
And I'm not being strict. I first saw Agressor in 1988 (or was it 1987?) so I agree they were around in the 80s, I was just telling you how I made my list and why they weren't on it...

They were part of the scene all the same... I fail to see why singing in French is so important to you.
Considering that, Germany, Sweden, Norway (etc) have pretty poor scenes...

both of you are ruining my fun.

I'm going to listen to some Agressor now and be content to do it all by myself.

i choose the French and the Spanish scenes on purpose; because they both have that mother tongue characteristic during the 80s that gives them lots of charm. otherwise i don't care, although i have to mention french have a terrible accent in english(more than any other nation, imo)
