Apologies if this appears elsewhere, but Chris mentioned these guys to me yesterday and I'm in a power metally mood, so I thought I'd try 'em out. Seeing as all their albums are apparently awesome, what's the best place to start?

I'd go with Paradise In Flames. That album has the perfect balance between fast, heavy and melodic tracks. If you're looking for something even more power metallish, go for Doom Of Destiny. And if you're looking for something a bit mellower, try Back To The Kingdom or Kingdom Of The Night... but really, they are all awesome. And if you're in a brave mood you could always wait til their new album comes out at the end of this month and snag it. I know I will. :cool:

Back To The Kingdom was one of my favourite albums back when I listened exclusively to power metal.

They're ok. They have some really good and really bad stuff. Unfortunately the bad outweighs the good.

Try the first two, Kingdom of the Night and II. The rest is pretty average power metal. You should listen to Borealis, excellent canadian band.

THIS.

Doom of Destiny is my favorite, but it may be a little too cheesy for most. I'd go with Paradise in Flames.
