Awesome album. Good review; you nailed the two things I like most about the band (drumming and guitar melodies), although I'd score it more around 90. I do miss the faster parts they had on Chronoclast but there's enough holyfucktheworldisending parts on Spoils of Failure that it makes me happy.

I'd score this higher too. Great review, though. I love how powerful this band can be when they're maintaining such a deliberate pace. :dio:

This is some pretty awesome stuff. Much better than the drivel which is Isis or even Neurosis in my book. Have to check out some of their other stuff.

So I've listened to this a little and it isn't grabbing me nearly as much as Chronoclast did. I'll have to give it a few more shots but I dunno...I haven't been able to get into slow stuff like this thus far (Neurosis and Isis being the two that I've actually given a good amount of time to).

Dunno if this has been posted already, but apparently this band is breaking up. Really saddens me...two fantastic albums, and they had a ton of potential. No other sludge/post-metal/whatever band did melody as well as they did.
