Your argument doesn't make sense. You're saying that women aren't supposed to do those kinds of vocals, but then you seem to be admitting that some of them can do it. If they can do it, then on what possible basis do you say that they're not "supposed to"?

If I'm insinuating anything, it's that you have a problem with women not conforming to a feminine ideal that you've imposed upon them. This isn't really the place for those kind of arguments but you seem to want me to spell it out, so...

I think everybody realises by now that you think women doing harsh vocals is ridiculous. But you should understand that this baffles a lot of people who have seen and heard ample evidence to the contrary (like I said, Holy Moses, Thorr's Hammer, Nocturnal, all of whom would kick your arse). I for one think that YOUR opinion is pretty ridiculous, especially given that the only justification you offer for it is some biological nonsense about balls dropping. "Ripping off male vocalists"? C'mon, you're making this shit up as you go along...

I never said I want women to conform to a feminine ideal, but in the case of death metal and the like due to the fact that a feminine female singer wouldn't work they substitute it with a masculine female-its not me whos in denial about the way women act, its the bands that have a woman for a singer who acts like a man.

Neurosis, Keelhaul, Akimbo, Canvas Solaris, Slough Feg. I find the vast majority of good bands don't suddenly start making bad music.

Other stuff: I think if you're going to look at it from a "lol that's silly" perspective then all growling is pretty ridiculous. I don't really see why women should or would do it differently than men do.

More importantly, why is the guy from Salome making brutal sounds come out of an *orange* amplifier? (well actually three) Orange is such a happy colour it makes no sense to play angry music out of those.

If we're talking extreme vocals on the whole I'd also take a look at Darkened Nocturn Slaughtercult and Demonic Christ for starters. There are alot of more than capable extreme female vocalists out there that were kicking ass before that Angela moron yet her and her ilk seem to be the only ones known and are allowed to speak for "females in metal".
