I'm looking for advice here. I know some of you have an almost encyclopaedic knowledge of 80s heavymetal, thrash & hard rock and I was wondering which were your favorite instrumentals by bands or artists that are not entirely instrumental acts.

I've listed a few favs of mine and so far I have:
- Prophet "Hyperspace"
- Mama's Boys "The Professor Pt. 2"
- Raven "The Bottom Line"
- Def Leppard "Switch 625"
- M.S.G. "Into the Arena"
- Iron Maiden "Transylvania"
- Rainbow "Difficult to Cure"
- Gary Moore "The Loner"
- Riot "Narita"
- Rush "YYZ"
- Metallica "The Call of Ktulu"

What are yours?

Death Angel - The Ultra Violence

Vendetta - Fade to Insanity

there is that old Coroner one, can't remember what it's called, but it rocks.

What immediately comes to mind:

TNT : Sapphire
Triumph: Midsummer's Daydream
Triumph: Epilogue (Resolution)
Triumph: Little Boy Blues

Gary Moore's - 'The Loner' is a nice choice.

As if I forgot Thrash Attack. I asked Schmier personally if they could play it last time they were in Toronto. He said maybe next time, which always means no, but it was still cool!

Haha, Lucy stops stops your fun.

Orion, its obvious but awesome. One night me and my mates were listening to Rock Radio and they played a really long metal instrumental and we were all like "WTF WAS THAT IT WAS AMAZING" but we never found out what it was.

Ides Of March. Short n' Sweet. One of the local papers here described a band covering it and referred to the instrumental as The Eyes Of The March. That was funny. I like the live version of Transylvania too.

Metallica: (Anesthesia)-Pulling Teeth, Orion, To Live Is To Die (even when there are some lyrics  )

Whereas I'm not the big instrumental fan. I think the bands are just lazy to make more lyrics.
