Just cause it's not as good as Holy Wars or Hangar 18 doesn't mean it's not a killer tune.

Just remember Adam, take no shit.

The gang vocals always sound a bit goofy to me in Take No Prisoners.

However, apart from that, it's an awesome song. The riffing in it is monstrous.

Yeah, that's what I can't get past. If not for those, I might not put it at the bottom of the RiP barrel.

Sure, so long as you don't play Take No Prisoners.

Don't you worry, Peace Sells is number 1 in this house.

I only have the remastered version of RIP, and the gang vocals are...a gang of Mustaine, really. They sound shite, but its one of my favourite Deth songs. The demo version included on my copy of RIP is amazing. As are the demo versions of Holy Wars and the title tracka ctually, they're just a lot rawer and in the case of Holy Wars faster. Plus, the TNP has actual gang vocals.

I think the remastered version of many Megadeth albums are sounding worse, than the original (e.g. Rust in Peace, Countdown to Extinction, Cryptic Writings).

The originals where not that fat produced, and the sound was more mixed and not so "separated".

Though, the remastered version of Peace Sells is IMO a big improvement, compared to the original.

the only remastered version really worth owning is that of Risk.
Otherwise, it's all loudness war and superbass... Boring.

??? Especially Risk had one of the best (radio friendly) production of every Megadeth records and I don't see the point to remaster 2004 an album from 1999...

I did, and the original sounded crystal clear and the remastered version muffled like TWNAH.

To each his own, I guess. I prefer the remastered version.

Remastered versions are a little better in my opinion as well.

I think it's pretty hard to argue that Killing is my Business didn't benefit from it's remaster. Sounds WAY better if you ask me.

I liked the original raw sound of KIMB over the the horrible drum sound of the remaster.

That's just me though. Remastered Peace Sells is excellent though.

Too optimistic, you are. The new 'deth will be a quality slice of Modern Thrash a la the last Destruction. Old-school Thrashers will be disappointed, the meh-squad will love it and everyone else will shrug their shoulders and utter that most typical of Metal reviews: "s'alright"

I'm sure I'm in the "everyone else" category

I'm in the "Megadeth-sucked-exept-on-their-first-two-albums" category. Where does that place me?

Right next to me buddy. Like it or not, you and I are in agreement. HA!

How can you not like the awesome So Far, So Good, So What? This album has so much ''don't take no shit from no one" attitude.
