Finished Angel season 3. Definitely enjoyable- Holtz was a great villain/anti-hero, and the show seems to be going in an enjoyably darker direction- I especially like what they're doing with the character of Wesley. Still, there are a few pretty horrible episodes in there, and they really need to minimize the cheesiness at points and all the lovey soap operaness- this would be helped if they killed off Cordelia, who at this point is an annoying Mary Sue and who has none of her former snark or selfishness to keep her interesting. I enjoyed it, but hopefully season 4 will be better.

I'm rewatching season 2 right now. IMO the best seasons are 2 through 6. First season is alright but not much of the mythos episodes. 7,8,9 were alright as well but most of the interesting story lines gone.

Started watching Farscape season 2 again after a very long break. I hope I get into it this time. I desperately need something to watch.

The wife just bought me all 5 seasons from a friend for only 50 bucks, Im on season 1 episode 7 right now and its so addictive despite some cheesiness. Remember seeing it abit during its run on TV and I didn't like it. Somethings changed though, finding it a really fun watch.

It's a very good show, and can be quite addictive (especially when season 1 ends, since that's when they start doing more plot episodes and less monster of the week ones). The overall plot arch is generally quite good- I like that there's one consistent villain (Wolfram and Hart) that's always there, as opposed to Buffy, which has one villain who dies every season finale. But it's also an inconsistent show- you'll have a great episode, followed by a bad one, followed by a mediocre one, followed by a great one, usually depending on who wrote the episode.

Finished The Shield. Not a great ending, but decent; fave season is definitely the one with Kavanagh.

Yeah the ending was like... um shit, that's it? But it is fitting. I think the season in whole kicked ass though, and is up to par with seasons 4 and 5.

I think so far I really dig the show but my only complaint is that it seems a bit slow. Like, time stands still from one season to another. It's like you could take the 6 best episodes from these four ones, pull them together and they would still flow as one season... So I hope it picks up the pace and I wish they had explored some of the characters more. But it's only picking, really, as I think the show is great.

It starts very well and just keeps building and building until the point you realise that they'r ejust making it up as they go along and the last 6 or so episodes are just total "Uhhhh.......ok?" Real shame. to an extent it comes from them writing themselves into a corner and one uncontrollable factor that they had to deal with.

Season 5 is basically Angel's Buffy season 7.

So anyone else hear that Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire is going to made into a TV series? Rumoured for a while but apparently confirmed as Peter Dinklage has been cast as Tyrion Lannister.

Yep, it's pretty awesome- even better that it's HBO. But let's not get too excited, because HBO has only ordered a pilot right now, which is a far cry from a TV series- still, things have been developing on this for a long time, and the recent successes of shows like Legend of the Seeker (Ugh), Merlin and even True Blood might show HBO there's a market for this.

Holy shit Sean Bean cast as Ned Stark! :dio:

Too bad... I had heard that Charisma Carpenter's pregnancy screwed a lot of things up for the plotline. Still, I hear a lot of good things about season 4... looking forward to it. And mind clarifying that last bit? I hear great things about Angel season 5, and horrible things about Buffy season 7.

Speaking of which... Buffy season 6 is boring as hell so far.

"Jerry, Elaine, George and Kramer are coming back to primetime.

Kind of.

The actors who played them, Jerry Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jason Alexander and Michael Richards, are slated to appear on several episodes of "Curb Your Enthusiasm," the HBO comedy starring "Seinfeld" co-creator Larry David."

They're making five episodes where they try to make a reunion episode of Seinfeld.

Fucking awesome.

I just realised this is kind of old news, but whatever.

Watching Oz. Very nice. Most sympathetic prisoner is Kareem Said, at this point (season 4).

Such a great show. I think I've watched it like 4 times.

I have way too much free time.

Damn straight. Loved it.

Although, I must say I was slightly underwhelmed by the very ending. So, all along the mad nurse was after some locket that Robert had the whole time? But he ended up being eaten or something by that little woman dwarf and some random old lady?

Or... is there another episode left to explain it all, and I just haven't realised?

I think they leave you there... mad nurse, midget witch grandma and David's watermelon skills. It's unfair to make judgement this early, but all in all, The League Of Gentlemen was better, even the film. Makes me want to watch it all again.

I dunno, you're probably right but this had a better storyline. Anyway, yeah they have some plot explaining to do.
