What really fails here is Metallica failing to interest me any longer. I'm just so sick and fucking tired of hearing any song of any album of theirs. Every fucking metal venue I go to plays it, every rock bar plays it, and even the kiddies dance to Nothing Else Matters and Whiskey in the Jar.

Wake up and smell the mustaines.

Edit: and if I do have to pick three (time to be constructive?), meh, any three from Kill 'em All.

You're such a douche.
Why posting in a thread if it's just to go into another rant about "Metallica sucks, ha ha ha". Please, stop this or go fuck yourself with a very sharp knife.

in the meantime bashing Metallica(and praising Megadeth) is plain METAL, so i don't see the problem here. Anyway, here's my top 3:

1. Phantom Lord
2. Dyers Eve
3. Hollier than thou

come on now, they may not be the greatest, far from it. But back in 83 and 84 they released some good shit.

Everything else they did I couldn't really care less about though, so I will share in the laughter.

Negatory... never got what all the fuss was about with them.

Good to see you join in my mirth, nevertheless.

Those 2 albums weren't perfect, but they had some good thrashers on them. I can't listen to them now like I could when I first got into them, but I can still take enjoyment in their old old stuff.

I don't know, I can still very much appreciate Kill Em All for the rollicking good time it is. It's very much a fun album to get drunk and sing along to. I can understand the frustration about the attitude some people have about tallica being the de facto Alpha and Omega of Heavy Metal music though. It's a weird dichotomy, I've met people that wouldn't touch any other metal music with a 10 ft pole, but were there buying Death Magnetic the first day of release.
