Yeh Unia sucked monkey balls hopefully they will follow what Starto did with Polaris and start gong back to their roots.

I actually really like Unia. It is a bit disjointed, true, but if you take it for the weird proggish thing it actually is it's quite good. Of course, it's probably a transitory record for Kakko, so I'm expecting this new one to be a more balanced and powerful Unia. Like Queen on crack.

If he wants to make prog metal, fine by me, if he wants to keep making nonsensical avant-spazz then we're not going to see eye to eye.

Unia wasn't nonsensical. It was wobbly, sure, and about a third of the songs I can't remember, but it wasn't a bad record, and it definitely didn't deserve the low score it got here.

Unia is the only Sonata I don't own. I'm glad I got to see them live before they released Unia. They played all the classics.

I saw them before and after - after was still good (E.Vil nailed all Jani's solos) even if the set was about 30% made up of Unia stuff, which totally fell flat. The crowd were just sort of waiting impatiently through them for FullMoon and Black Sheep.

New album from Abgott! Hard to find any details, but there's a new track on this month's Terrorizer CD. Riff-heavy and awesome as ever.

2 guys, one for clean and one for brutal. They might as well hire 5 guys they still can not fill the shoes of Alvestam. He is one of the best voices around.

I can say I'm not too optimistic for the new SS. Christian seems to be in writing mode so I'm more interested in what he'll do next.

I really enjoy Scar Symmetry, but without Alvestam, I doubt it will be as great as their last couple of albums. Still looking forward to what they produce this time around.

Hm, I don't think so. Whenever I hear their songs, I just get overwhelmed with cold uninterestedness.

I really dug Showbiz, actually, way back in the day when they were taking Radiohead's sound in a bit of a new direction. But their hard rock/prog mixture is just annoying.
