I don't think in absolutes either, but I wouldn't view this as a positive thing.

I would view this as Netanyahu taking the most extreme, horrible, ridiculous two-state solution idea and vocalizing it, and then when the Palestinian Authority rejects it because it is absolutely terrible, Israel can continue with its blatant falsehood of calling the Palestinians rejection-prone pigs.

Israeli politics have been canting rightward since Yitzhak Rabin's assassination and they were never very left-wing to begin with; Ariel Sharon's sudden, odd formation of Kadima nonwithstanding.

Continuing on that track I am of the opinion that Kadima does more harm than good to the movement, considering that it drains voters from actually leftist parties that want to pursue comprehensive two-state solutions like New-Movement Meretz; Meretz has been hemorrhaging seats in the Knesset since the Gaza withdrawal.

Lord knows what'll happen with YB members in cabinet; at this rate they'll end up in the next few coalition governments and become an entrenched power structure like Shas.
