Parts when that CHUG CHUG CHUG makes you feel like the world is ending.

I don't think much can compare to the 8 minute mark of Yob's Burning the Altar, except maybe the brutal 3/4 part at 3:40 of Converge's Jane Doe is pretty close though, but it's super short. There's also a Weakling song with a pretty intense one but I can't remember which one or where in the song.

Basically, Coverge do that sort of thing very very well.

So no-one else is going to express their disgust at Steve listing Deathcore bands? Yes, they have breakdowns, lots of them. That doesn't make them good, ffs. And any list which features Walls Of Jericho that isn't a 'List Of Shitty Bands' or the like is simply wrong.

Deathcore sucks.

So do most breakdowns.

Is it really warranted when all it'll do is start another bitching session?

I don't like deathcore, but that doesn't mean he's not allowed to.

Breakdowns are usually a good thing and some deathcore bands are ok.

On the other hand writing a breakdown is the easiest thing to do. What makes a breakdown special is the build up to it and it should be the explosion point. Making the whole song filled with breakdowns is not any different than writing a pussycat dolls song.
