"Raleigh, North Carolina-based progressive metalcore quintet BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME has set "The Great Misdirect" as the title of its new album, due on October 27 via Victory Records.

The track listing is as follows:

01. Mirrors
02. Obfuscation
03. Disease, Injury, Madness
04. Fossil Genera - A Feed from Cloud Mountain
05. Desert of Song
06. Swim to the Moon

Commented the band: "We have finished tracking our new record and we are spending this week mixing/mastering and all that fun stuff. It's hard to believe we've been recording for five weeks already. Everything went really smooth and we are very confident in the fact that this is some of the best material we've ever created. Can't wait for all of you to hear it! We have lots of footage from the studio that will hopefully be part of a special-edition DVD that will come with the new record... we will also be posting some studio videos in the next few months. Our touring plans are starting to come together and we'll be putting up dates tomorrow."

That feels really fast after Colors.

Wanna bet he changes his mind to fit in with the "true metal people", the way he did with Five Finger Death Punch? He dropped his praise of that band faster than a single man drops a woman with 3 children when he found out it wasn't "true".

This was already released and it's a great record. Similar to BTBS but a bit darker and more mature sounding with excellent keyboards from Janne Tolsa (Tarot).

I'm looking forward to this too. I still haven't heard Miklagard which I plan to do very soon.

I don't remember anyone posting the artwork so here it is:

Yeah, it does seem pretty quick. Colors was such a massive album that 2 years almost doesn't seem like enough time to get ready for another one.

Also, I just realized that the album has only 6 SONGS!!! I can only imagine how long each of them will be. :dio:

Yeah, and most of them were upwards of 10 minutes. If this album has one or two interludes as well, then the other 4 or 5 will just be that much longer.

New BTBAM? Hell yes. I doubt that it will top Colors, but it's possible...even though it's one of my favorite albums, I think they could do better.

Nice surprise this was.

Just wanted to post that I got this album, and it's a pretty badass release. Thanks for the heads up, Dago.

"The Black Dahlia Murder have announced Deflorate as the title of their new album, which hits stores September 15th via Metal Blade Records."

Vocalist Trevor Strnad speaks
"Hear Ye thrashing metal maniacs! We have returned with our most relentless album yet…sure to penetrate and ravage your virgin ears, Deflorate! I feel confident that we have outdone what we achieved with our last album… words cannot express the excitement we all feel about the new material. Now this is fucking Death Metal! The boys at Audiohammer Jason Suecof and Mark Lewis have done it again…the result is one beastly sounding album. Last but certainly not least, prepare yourselves to behold the hair raising shred of Georgia's own Ryan Durell Knight! Special thanks to Tony Koehl for the kickass job on the cover art…feast your eyes and ears on this most unholy of spectacles! The time of Defloration is upon us!

As foretold at the end of our Majesty DVD, the new album will come packaged with an exclusive DVD featurette, lovingly titled Going Places. Ride along with your favorite jerks on Knight's first tour with the band, a drunken romp through our first ever shows in Sweden, Norway and Russia. Sickness!

Tracklisting
1. Black Valor
2. Necropolis
3. A Selection Unnatural
4. Denounced, Disgraced
5. Christ Deformed
6. Death Panorama
7. Throne Of Lunacy
8. Eyes Of Thousand
9. That Which Erodes The Most Tender
10. I Will Return"

and heres an interview about it, along with a streamable song from the new album: http://www.revolvermag.com/blackdahlia
