Tough one since they are all good but if I had to choose one it would probably be The Time Of The Oath.

The Dark Ride... I prefer them when they are more dark and less happy.

Gambling With The Devil, The Dark Ride, and Master of The Rings are each pretty close to all being tied as my favorite. Anyway, I actually have to give the nudge to Gambling, I was really impressed with that album and I still listen to it more than any other Helloween album 2 years after it's release.

That's the only full length album I have of theirs and I have listened to a few other tracks of theirs although not entire albums, so I won't vote. But I agree with ganesha about them sounding more dark and less happy. They definitely sound better that way.

The other ranged from acceptable to embarrassing but this one's a winner! :dio:

I agree with Silent Man. I was so impressed with Gambling. I skip a lot of songs on their other ones, but I can listen to that one all the way through. Great album.

I'm going with the Dark Ride too. Funny, I thought I was the only one who liked the album :P

Go for Walls of Jericho, Keepers I & II before the Andy Deris ones.

Better Than Raw. Although The Dark Ride contains my all-time favorite Helloween song (the title track).

Yes, those albums are essential to any respectable metalhead.

It seems to be one of those albums that garnered a lot of praise and critical acclaim when it came out but gradually became less popular as time went on. Sad because it's one of the band's best albums IMO.

To be honest, Gambling is probably my least favorite of the Deris-era albums that I've heard (I haven't heard Master Of The Rings or Time Of The Oath). And I found it rather odd that Michael Weikath was complaining about how dark and depressing The Dark Ride was, but then just four years later, he went ahead and made what's probably Helloween's angriest and most aggressive album yet.

Better Than Raw for me, but I dig them all. Keeper III would probably be my second favorite, but they're close.

I think The Dark Ride is ridiculously overrated.

Voted for The Dark Ride. My least favorite is The Time Of The Oath, it's the only Deris album I can't stand.

Gambling with the Devil is my favorite Helloween album since Keeper 2- I think it's nearly perfect, and has great replay value. The Dark Ride is a close second (it does have the best Deris era Helloween song, The Dark Ride), followed by The Time of the Oath.

My favorites are 'Better Than Raw' and 'Keeper of the Seven Keys : The Legacy'. I have to agree that they're all very good albums minus 'Rabbit'.
