In light of the new album, let's discuss the old ones. My personal favourite is Domine Non Es Dignus, great songwriting and the choruses hadn't become repetitive like they do on their later albums. Plus, that song with the marching boots is spinechilling.

You might be right Zad. NESD is fucking awesome. Eschaton wasn't as intense. Hell is Empty stepped up the brutality but still isn't as good as NESD. The new one is at the same level as Eschaton if not worst. Codex Necro is pretty damn good as well but I don't know where I'd rank it, having not listened to it in a while.

@xxx: Hell is Empty would be a good starting point with. Domine Non being another possiblity.

I dig Anal Neck Wrath plenty, although I don't have all their albums so I shall abstain. One of the ones I haven't heard is Domine somethingorother, so shall have to hunt it down. I remember seeing it cheap at my local record shop so perhaps...

You know, sticking The Codex Necro on again it's a pretty amazing album. The Technogoat is currently making my spine crawl.

That is a tough question, all their albums are enjoyable for me.There is something for whatever mood I may be into,if I want those catchy, dare I say "pretty" moments I'll go with Eschaton and Hell, whereas there older stuff is nice and intense.

^^*Gasp*^^^Blasphemy!!!!Just kidding,to each his own.I'm curious to hear everybodies opinions on the new album when it decides to unleash itself upon the world. From what little I've heard, its sounds good if not abit more in a new deathy direction. At least production wise.

I voted for the codex necro. The rawness of it is something I miss in the new AN. Still, they are making the best bm today, right up there with the French.

The new one is totally amazing. How they actually managed to make their music even heavier is beyond me. It's inhuman.

Domine. Didn't really like the codex necro, it was too repetitive and bludgeoning. Not that that's inherently a bad thing, but it wasn't as engaging as Domine or the others.
