My favorite vocal performance from a thrash band will always be Baloff's blood-crazed howling on Bonded By Blood.

For me the clinching factors are the vocal energy and the über catchy melodies, as well as the excellent production on Riot!

I see what you're saying guy.

A little Placebo than Sunn O)))'s Monolith.

Same but different fits it so well. I'm not quite sure who is in the new touring Atheist so does the new Gnostic album mean no new Atheist album?

No, Season of Mist have signed both and a new Atheist album should be out this year.

Speaking of Gnostic, the vocalist is really pissing me off. STOP YELLING!

He sounds like he's striving to be Anselmo in Splinters and it's lame. The guitars and rhythm have it down though and are soo tight.

The Killers - Hot Fuss

Goddamm, they never clicked before, now they're on heavy rotation.

Marduk - Rom 5:12

Still blasty, but they've clearly turned into a forward-looking band and make it interesting.

Agreed that he is awesome, but I do think I prefer White's (Godfrey) effort on Breaking the Silence..

Warning -- Watching From A Distance

It's like standing in the ocean at night, and having dark wave after dark wave crashing down on you. Absolutely staggering music.
