New Cage is always a good thing in my books. Thing is, I really have a book.

How about this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pjwEYKby0k

I think this album will be even more furious than Hell Destroyer.

Cage put the power back in power metal.

Damn right they do. I wish most power metal was like this.

I'm pretty excited for this too. I've been playing Darker Than Black nonstop.

I haven't really listened to them before, but I've heard some good things about them. May be I'll check'em out someday.

Question: Is Cage technically a Christian band or do they fall more under the "secular band with Christian bandmembers" category (a la Dream Theater and Helloween, two of my favorite metal bands)?

The lyrics in their previous album gave me the impression they were simply telling a story inspired from Christian mythology.

I'm listening the new album right now, sounds pretty pretty pretty pretty good. This is so much better than the new Primal Fear in every department. Everyone into Heavy/Power Metal should buy it.

Outdoing the new Primal Fear was no big task though :lame:

Good album so far. I don't know if it will surpass Hell Destroyer, that album was a near masterpiece (damn interludes), but it is getting better with each listen.

True, but I'd to use the opportunity to bash Primal Fear. Huge disappointment.

Science of Annihilation is better than Hell Destroyer. The vocals melodies in this one are awesome. Sean Peck gets better with each release.

Doing some research, I discovered that my latter idea is true. They have several Christian bandmembers (and have even played at some Christian Metal festivals), but aren't really a full-blown "Christian Metal" band.
Anyway, moving onto another question, do they play more basic power metal a la Iced Earth or more epic/bombastic power metal?

More straight forward heavy METAL! Not so much power metal.

As I said, Cage put the power back into power metal.
