I ahven't heard WITTR, but I hear the new enslaved is pretty dominated by clean vocals.

Enslaved: i have Below the Lights and really enjoy it, tried listening to Isa and Ruun but didn't like them as much. will check out new one though.

Shining: heard V Halmstad and didnt really like it

speaking of those two bands, has there been any more news about the collab between Enslaved and (norweigeian) Shining. gtg now but i'll look into it when i get back

The closest thing to a Black Metal band with clean vocals I can think of is Primordial, but they sound nothing like Wolves In The Throne Room, and they're definately not fronted by Mr. Sigur Ros.

Ulver - Bergtatt obviously. Ummm... You should really check Klimt 1918 out, not particularly BM-y, but they are like Sigur Ros, so... :P

That's a tough one. I couldn't think of any so I looked at my Black Metal folder and out of those 123 bands the only one close to what you said is Urfaust, which isn't that close anyway.

But you should listen to Urfaust. Great band.

I don't know, I haven't listened to them in years. I remember them having a sort of black metal sound with clean vocals. I guess they're more of extreme metal or whatever.

Seriously, everyone even remotely into black metal should be forced to listen to Urfaust A Clockwork Orange style...

I listened to one of their albums but there was like violins and stuff for almost ten minutes so by the time the black metal started I wasn't in the mood.
