Without this turning into a 'sellout' or 'SAAABBUUUTH!' debate/argument, anyone else think Ozzy kicks major arse? I reckon some of his stuff is absolutely fucking brilliant, right now I'm listening to Mr. Crowley and I'd forgotten how good it was...Me and my friend used to get pissed in his back garden listening to The Essential Ozzy Osbourne, those were the days.

Ozzy is fantastic, I hate all the haters. Every single album has good stuff, and some have a lot of great stuff. No Rest For The Wicked, No More Tears, Bark At The Moon... All fantastic.

Diary of a Madman as well! The title track and Over the Mountain are amazing.

Well sure, I wasn't going to list every Ozzy cd.

Everything after No More Tears kinda suck. The rest goes from brilliant (the first two, Ultimate Sin, No More Tears) to okay (the rest).
Ozzy's still a legend anyway.

I always think of his fans as the type of people who drive 70's Chevy's have long stringy hair and who always wear flannel shirts.
Mr.Crowley isn't a bad song.

He's the reason I got into metal in the first place. I agree that his albums of late have been terrible, but his earlier solo material is awesome. I love the high energy that he brings.

Are there actually any Ozzy haters? I mean people who hate his music? Him as a person, yeah understood, but his music is nothing short of brilliant. Crazy Train, Mr. Crowley, Over the Mountain, Bark at the Moon...great songs. What's there to hate?

I'm sure Holy Terror is going to say that it's all quite overrated and come with some obscure 3rd rate singer saying Ozzy's not half the man this awesome no-name is!

I am by no means an Ozzy "hater". I've loved his earlier solo material, in fact Bark At The Moon is still one of my favorite albums ever and of course the Randy Rhoads albums are classics. Other than No More Tears, everything since No Rest For The Wicked has been sub-par or just plain bad imo. I feel incredibly bad for him as Sharon has aided in turning him into a caricature of his formal self.

I personally prefer Sabbath without Ozzy and Ozzy's solo work to Sabbath with Ozzy. You're No Different and I Just Want You are two of my all time favourite tracks. Perry Mason kicks ass too.

I agree. I actually find "The Ultimate Sin" to be more enjoyable than anything Sabbath released before "Heaven & Hell". I think Dio or even Tony Martin is a better match for them. Blasphemy? Well, maybe... :D

He he... I just don't like the way he sounded with Sabbath. I prefer the more mystical and atmospheric voices of Dio and Tony. But Ozzy's solo albums are good.
