the album has leaked (should serve as an early listen not a replacement to buy), i would like to hear some opinions about it

edit: bible black is a little different with some added slow melodic lick at the beginning, it's awesome \m/

Wasnt too impressed with Bible Black. I'[m not expecting this to be another "Heaven and Hell" although I am intrigued.

It's neither H&H nor Mob Rules but a solid album from aging metalheads. Nothing spectacular but pretty entertaining.

It's good. When the whole metal world is getting more sophisticated and complex, we need geezers like these to give us a re-awakening slap on how metal is best enjoyed. Some of the riffs here are pretty simple but infectious!

I've only heard Bible Black, but it's right up my Heavy Metal alleyway.

I've been waiting 14 years for a new Sabbath cd, so I'm gonna resist the urge to check out the leaked version & wait for a real hard copy.

Basically same to the above, if I really like something I don't download. Wait, I never download-but I won't let my friends at University downlaod it and show it to me, anyways.

Hate to say it but i think they should just stick to touring and playing the old material. They are just simply too old to be able to write anything exciting.

I agree with Holy Terror on this one. This material is only exciting because of the people involved.
Would it have been a young band, you guys would have called it generic and outdated which is true.
That doesn't mean it's not an enjoyable listen, it is. Just not as good as most of the posters down here are saying.

It's true that were it a young band, people would be shitting on it. Doesn't mean it's not good. Being retro can be ok, whether you used to be an old band or not.

If this album came out in the 80s, you fuckers would be calling it a classic right now.

if this were a young band i would be like "hell yes." i don't care if something sounds generic or outdated; i love retro bands like Jex Thoth, Sahg, Blood Ceremony, Sirens of Titan etc as long as they can write good music.

I don't know. I'm starting to hate the idea of leaking albums, not that i care about downloading because I don't anymore. It's the fact that unmastered copies start floating around on the internet and I don't know what's legit and what isn't.

I'll wait to download a retail copy in all honesty, assuming I can find on that is a retail version.

Now to defend my poisition. I think after buying the same records multiple times and buying the bad records some of these bands put out, i think it's perfectly fine to download an album if you are broke. I mean, if you've paid your dues, i don't see the problem. Lets not make this about downloading. It's good to have these guys back, but the way it is now, i'm gonna wait for a legit illegal copy if that makes sense.

So if you would have it your way, then bands like Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Kiss, Iron Maiden, Alice Cooper, Dio, Scorpions, etc. should stop releasing new studio-albums? Because they are old?
