After reading that whole interview, I am very excited. This is going to be a monster series of releases.

I am pretty pissed about the clubs in the middle of nowhere though. He'll probably never come back to Omaha... :sad:

Can't wait for this. Actually the part I'm most looking forward to is how the record will turn out considering the musicians are almost all into playing blues and stuff. I mean, what a guy who was old enough to jam with Hendrix will bring is going to be very interesting indeed.

There's an Ki teaser medly on DT's myspace. Nothing awful but some interesting, possibly female vocals at 1:20 mark. Reminds me a lot of Ziltoid with some jazz inserted. An Elvis-esque moment at 2:50.

No, at least I don't think so. Assuming that all the song changes were not all happening every 15 seconds or so, then it's reminding me more of Cynic than anything else.

This album is going to polarize people. Those that have liked everything Devin has done will love it. Those that like only the heavy stuff will hate it.

this is awesome. he doesn't do the "wall of sound" as much so it sounds so personal

Seriously. This album is flippin' brilliant! It's so groovy and jazzy, and there is a wall of sound, but it's different. It's like a marshmallow of sound. :lol:

It's sooooo cool. I feel like there is just so much going on in nearly every song, even more than his other material. I miss the heaviness though.

Three songs if I remember well...
Played the album twice. It's very different from everything Devin has released in the past though his "touch" is still recognizable. A very good album.

I want to say he was talking down about the lifestyle it went along with.

Yeah, I wasn't sure if those were female vocals because I could easily imagine Devy pulling that sound off.
