Samael - Above

Getting used to the blastbeats all over everything, although it'll still a bit much.

Salome - Black Tides.

Sludgy doom metal with the chick from Agoraphobic Nosebleed sparsely singing throughout.

Early Nachtmystium. It's not as good as Black Meddle which saddens me. It didn't seem really good at all.

It's just standard black metal.

But Black Meddle isn't and stupidly I expected to all be Black Meddle quality.

Comus--Drip Drip

The vocals are not as bad as I remember...by saying that I mean that they do not make the music unlistenable. They come pretty close towards the end of the song though. That being said, this song is actually pretty damn good.

Yes I am, quite a pleasant surprise as I didn't like Domination all that much... :lame:

I can't remember the name of the song, but it sounds like it could of been right off of Altars, which is alright in my books.

NP: Razor - Jimi the Fly

"newer" Razor is not the pure speedfest thrash of old Razor, but it still very good. cant help but get a little headbang going while listening. me likey.

Yes and you can start to see the proggy influences taking shape there as well.

Demise seemed to be standard BM. I guess I'll check out Instinct/Decay.

NP: Killing Joke - Wardance.

i've been listening to some Sun Ra lately. started with his earlier stuff because i heard it was less weird. it's a great combination of being catchy, but also very loose and strange sounding at times. i figure i'll just move along album to album and maybe that will be a good way to introduce myself to an appreciation of weird jazz.

I did the same with Coltrane starting not at his very beginning but with Giant Steps (1959)... It took me very far in weirdness seldom heared in the metal world...
