Awesome! They're one of my favorite bands! Although I didnt see this coming since they usually release an album every 4 years and its been 3 since the last one.

Wasn't expecting this this soon either! Awesome! I do love Blind Guardian- Hopefully it'll be better than Twist in the Myth, which I do like but which doesn't have the same replay value as most of their catalogue.

I'm gonna go ahead and burst everyone's bubble. This is going to further the degradation of their sound. Unfortunately for a band like BG, they have exhausted all of their ideas....and can't come up with any new good ones. At least that's my opinion. I only though ATITM had one good song on it, "Otherland". ANATO was ok, but compared to anything out of the back catalogue, they just fall short. I don't see them releasing any more albums that are as significant as the ones they've done in the past.

Why is it I know what you're going to say in every post you write ? :lame:

I don't want to burst your bubble but may should you stick to what you do best: the obscure oldies department...

Don't get me wrong, this is not an attack, it's just that the previsibility factor is quite high with you.

Awesome news! I didn't like ATITM but I'm hoping this is classic BG. ATITM wasn't really THAT bad anyway.

What happened to that Orchestra with Blind Guardian album they said was almost complete?

On that bonus track on their last CD - the interview - Hansi goes on and on about this instrumental project with Hansi's vocals that was close to completion.

Thought that was coming out next - now I see no mention of it.

Did I miss a news release somewhere?

Maybe it's because you're a fucking genius and you're prescient. I should stop making comments that conflict with other people's opinions. You're right. I should start taking soma also and dress like everyone else.

And I am a huge Blind Guardian fan and I don't enjoy saying bad things about them, but I am entitled to voice my opinion. Sorry you just happen to like all things that I think are lame. That is your problem, not mine. I guess you'll just have to live with the boredom of knowing what I'm going to say every time. i apologize in advance, though I bet you knew I would.

Didnt expect this sort of news until sometime next year at the earliest.

Can't say I was a big fan of A Twist in the Myth, but it wasnt a disaster either, couple of songs there that like to listen to every once and a while.

Not expecting a return to the old Blind Guardian style, but hopefully this one will have a rawer, more aggressive sound to it. ANATO was great, but a bit overproduced, and ATITM was a little too laid back for my liking.
