From the top of my head:

Marblebog
Astrofaes
Khors (recently reviewed by Alex)
Darkestrah
Nokturnal Mortum
Hate Forest
Lucifugum
Lutomysl

Quality varies, of course.

Darkestrah's last two albums are really good.

No, I didn't forgot them. They're one of my BM favs. They're pretty well known, at least in this forum, so I thought it wasn't necessary to mention them, same for Drudkh. Om is amazing, the atmosphere is so unique.

Astrofaes and Hate Forest are a little overrated.

I thought Darkestrah were from Central Asia? I suppose that could roughly be classed as E Europe for the purposes of the poll.

Dub Buk is another cool E Europe BM band, and if you like it very folky and don't mind all the Nazi stuff you could try Kroda or Temnozor etc.

I can dig Hate Forest but Astrofaes do seem a bit ropey to me... haven't listened to them for a while though.

I didn't like Battlefields, Sorrow is ok though. (Haven't heard Purity)

Hate Forest aren't overrated at all (grrr!) but Astrofaes aren't anything more than capable. Funny story going on at the moment with them and Supernal, thinking that Alex K. has been ripping them off when apparently no-one's been buying any Astrofaes albums except me, a while ago.

I just thought Battlefields was underwhelming, Sorrow is a'iight.

Yes they are.

Pretty standard in the E Europe scene, so it seems.

You're missing out on some good HF, man. The Most Ancient Ones is pretty much my favourite Hate Forest album and yet so few seem to actually bother with it. The opening vocals to To the Thickets and Swamps is one of my favourite moments of life, no fucking joke. Also, give Nietzscheism a spin, I dare venture to say that some of the best HF songs are on that comp. [/quote]

I know what you mean about those vocals. Spine-chilling. And FTR, you need to listen to Purity, it's really good, my first from them.
