We're re-recording "Will and Perception" for the US release, with
bonus tracks, new artwork, and other fun things.

There will also be a new full length released in 2008! [We hope!]

Thanks for the support, :dio:

Sooo, some news then perhaps?

Regarding "Will and Perception, 2008"
Canopy wrote:
It's pretty much recorded now, there are some guitar passages that
Jonis needs to do, but that will be done this coming week during the
mixing/mastering sessions in Umeå.

As reported earlier, the new CD contains the 5 songs that originally
appeared on the "Will and Perception" CD from 2005, completely re-
recorded. It also includes a re-recording of "Common Walls" from the
"During Day One" demo, a new instrumental song("A defeaning roar
of silence"
) and another new track entitled "Riddance". Apart
from all the new songs, the CD will also have completely new artwork.

During the recording phase we also choose to record another song, that
song, entitled "200x the horror" will appear on a split 7'' with Stockholm
thrashers Chainsaw.

Some vidoes! More coming!

Old thread revival!

We played at the Mølla music festival on the 16th of August, and
I found a video from the gig. It was filmed with a cellphone, so the
quality isn't the most awesome, but it's entertaining!

What do you guys think?

The sound is actually pretty damn good for a cell phone.

Anyway, awesome as I expected.

:D

Glad you enjoy it! The new album(fuck, how many times have I said the same sentence...) is going to be out soon! (Early 2009 we've been told..)

Listening to some material that might end up on the new (think 2010) Canopy album. (We refer to it as C3P0). It's...a whole new beast. I had a long conversation with Jonis today and I must say that I am very excited. We're hoping to do some pre-Recordings in February/May.

I'll spam this thread a bit more once I have a date for W&P2008.

That'd be a sight to see! The havoc, the madness, the booze, the dubious acts!

Yeah, I just want to make sure I'm not filmed with a stripper on top of me this year.

This year Canopy will release the full-length edition of WILL AND PERCEPTION, through Disconcert music. Including 8 songs and circa 40 minutes of music, watch out for our best and most complete release to date.

Five of the songs hail from our acclaimed demo/EP "Will and Perception" from way back in 2005, but everything is rerecorded 2008. One song is the classic "Common Walls" from our 2004 demo "During Day One" and is not only rerecorded, but also heavily re-arranged. The other two songs "Counsels And Maxims" and "Riddance" are brand new explorations.

I took the liberty of uploading three full songs from our upcoming 2009 release WILL AND PERCEPTION on MySpace, and as a little frosting on the cake, the song Subtle from our 2006 album Serene Catharsis. Stick around for more treats!
