Great review!

I love this album. Definitely a classic. I remember one night walking home from work on the back roads stoned out of my mind. I was listening to Killers and everything just seemed so awesome. The drumming on The Ides or March and into Wrathchild just had me in awe. Remember I was quite blitzed. Anyway, this album is pure awesome, and I am one of the ones mentioned in the review that likes Paul over Bruce. I also like Iron Maiden over Killers, but still this is awesome.

The night I am talking about was followed up by my thread asking you guys about bands that are like old Maiden. Unfortunately, nobody gave me any recommendations that I haven't heard already.

I also prefer Di’anno to Bruce Dickinson. Too bad he was kicked out. Killers is overall my favorite Maiden album. Excellent improvement over the sound they captured with Iron Maiden. After Killers they went a different direction, which was also very good of course.

Sums my own opinion up quite well.

I meant that more as a joke than anyhting.

I also meant it to because you seem to be quoting me on everything. You also seem very bitter all the time.

Killers is my favourite album from Maiden without Bruce. :D

And I also think it's better than the debut.

On Killers are just only Killers and no Fillers. :)

Very nice.
Classic album for sure, and Maidens best.
Every track kicks ass; from the opening lines of The Ides of March to the closing notes of Drifter, this album rules.
Favorite tracks:
Another Life, Innocent Exile (the opening bass lines are killer)Murders in the Rue Morgue, Ghengis Khan, Wrathchild... but they are all awesome.

I remember in high school. Out of all my friends who were into metal, I was the first one to own Killers. It made me so cool.

It's a classic, for sure, but I don't listen to it as much as I should... I usually go to the other Maiden classics when I need to relisten Iron Maiden.

Same here. Bruce-era stuff just sounds more... Maiden.

Totally agree. "The Number Of The Beast", "Somewhere In Time", "Brave New World" and "A Matter Of Life And Death" are my favourite Maiden discs.

Blaze ("I look like a retard on stage, I should not have been Bruce's replacement, but it isn't all my fault that Maiden recorded some sucky songs during my time in the band") Bayley

They are all excellent, but those that I listed always stood out the most.
You like Piece Of Mind more than Number Of the Beast?

The problem with Piece Of mind is (was) that it was over-played; back in the spring of 83, that's all that was to be heard issuing from tape decks everywhere ( that and Def Leppard's Pyromania). Good album, though.
