Has anyone heard their latest album yet? Its a bit more acoustic than their previous albums.

I definitely think its better than "The Scythe", which was too rushed IMO.

Your thoughts?

I would like to hear it, but I don't want to hear an all acoustic album.

Well to be honest the band seems to call it an all acoustic album, although it does sound quite similar to some of the stuff on "The Winter Wake". My take is if you liked that album you might like this one. It seems to me like a step towards the right direction (especially after the average "The Scythe").

I think "The Scythe" was a bloody mess. Still trying to dig "through" it but repeated listens won't change it. :)

I've been listening to "Two Tragedy Poets (...and a caravan of weird figures)" for like five times in a row.

It's that kind of album... you can't stop saying "wow, this is awsomeness"

I haven't heard it yet but I am disappointed that they took some of the edge off of it. I mean, by saying it's acoustic it may mean that it's softer...

Its definitely a much better album than I anticipated, worth listening to. To some degree the more interesting song titles (and album title even) reminds me more of Skyclad, which in my opinion can only be a good thing. The only thing I remember specifically disliking is the end of 'Not My Final Song,' which plods along merrily until the interesting scream at the end. I don't know why but that scream just reminds me of the more modern, heavy and aggressive Elvenking - not a good thing.

Why did I wait so long to check this out? I love it!! They turned the only song on The Winter Wake that I didn't like (The Winter Wake) into a very enjoyable acoustic version. Jarpen is on this one too!!

Ha. I actually thought the only really decent song on that album was the title-track.
