Keeping up with Holy_Terror here.

For me it is very hard to pick just one. But I give it Tankard just for their consistency. But Destruction, Sodom, and Vendetta all battled it out for second.

Sodom. No question about it. Never heard Tankard or a few of the others but Sodom is probably impossible to top.

As I said in my post, Sodom are probably second. But for me I don't have one band that sits on top. It just depends on how I am feeling at the peticular time I want to listen to music. And right now Tankard is my go to band. But I think I should of probably chose Vendetta. :lame:

I have a question for anybody who can help me. Has anybody heard of a band called Fratzehammer? Seeing as how we are tlaking about german thrash, I was thinking maybe somebody has heard of them. And if so, can anybody tell me the name of their album(s)? Or provide a link or something to where I can learn more about them.

I feel like a tit. I forgot Exumer...

But I have good news. Exumer is back. They will be playing at a festival in US next year (the first time the band has ever played in North America, and the first time since 1988 they have played outside of Europe). Also Exumer have a new album coming out in 2009. So I just got really excited. Plus the lineup for the festival looks pretty damn good.

Sodom. Sodom is amazing. I have not heard from that list: Vendetta, Deathrow, Paradox, or Assassin. And if I were to pick a 2nd place: Destruction, Kreator, and Tankard would all probably tie because I've only heard like 2 albums from each of them and liked them all pretty evenly. I have a Holy Moses album that I'm pretty sure I've listened to but I can honestly say I remember absolutely nothing about it.

Kreator. They may be much less consistent than Sodom and Tankard, but at their peak (ie first five albums) I don't think any of the others can beat them.

Sodom, simply because I enjoy their material a lot more than the rest of the bands listed.

Sodom has been the most consistent band among these. So I went with Sodom. If I were to pick a favorite album maybe I would have went with another one.

Tankard just isn't on par with Sodom, Kreator and Destruction.

Sodom seems to win by a landslide here.

Easily Sodom. They have made so many great albums, and they're still pumping them out.

I'll stick with Kreator, but Sodom will be the winner anyway.

No. They are all equally awesome.

Sodom did have the one downpoint in the long career, Masquerade in Blood. Tankard has no downpoints. All awesome!

More people need to listen to Deathrow, Vendetta, and Darkness.

This is the trouble with this place... we spend more time arguing over useless shit like this than discussing the new music that's being unveiled in other forums. Who the hell cares?
