just got my hands on their album this week. Listened to it about 6-7 times and it's definitely a grower, the more I listen the more I like. One of the good albums I've heard this year.

New DsO too. Yeah 22 minutes of pure madness. Manifestation doesn't count or it would be included too.

Pyramaze - "Immortal"

This is one monster of an album. Michael Kammeyer seems to be one of those guys like Jon Schaffer or Steve Harris, always having this vision on how a kick-ass metal platter should be made and then leading the band into new heights.

How is that Elvenking? Isn't that the acoustic one?

Yeah thats the one. So far I really like what I've heard. Unfortunately its a heavily voiced-over copy, so I will wait till I buy it to really decide where to place it. I will say, that without the voice-overs, hell even with them, it is 48.9 million times better than that shitfest The Scythe was, I still can't wrap my mind around that one, fuck that was bad.

Hi metalNESS. Yes, 'tis I...the Raven. I've just had a ton of stuff going on. School, family etc.. Plus, I went through a terrible metal drought. I just didn't want to listen to any of it. I have no idea why it happened but it did. I'm regaining my mucho gusto for metal again. So, I decided to return and haunt the MR forums for a bit longer.

I guess I just needed a break.

How have you been suh?

I think Aghoslent - Hornets of the Progrom and Druzhina - Echoes of Distant Battles will also get pretty nice spots on my concluding list.. I haven't heard the new Esoteric and Darkestrah yet, but I should be very surprised if they weren't deserving of a good spot as well.

Overall, The Formation Of Damnation is my favorite album this year. I guess Death Magnetic would be next.
