Metal sucked. Only maybe 1 possibly 2 decent songs. But Jeff says that he has been playing a lot of guitar lately and has enough material to release 3 albums. So heres hoping that a new album will be good. If it can be as good as Schizo Deluxe, which was alright, then I will be happy. Too Far Gone is one of Annihilators best songs ever.

If he's still employing that hack he calls a vocalist, it will suck. Metal was an all-around mess, but I think parts of All For You and Schizo Deluxe could have been saved by a vocalist who wasn't a complete joke. I kind of want Jeff to do the vocals, as I love both King of the Kill and Refresh the Demon. Hiring someone to write some decent lyrics wouldn't hurt either.

Metal did suck, large. But I did like Clown Parade and the song that Jeff sings on, can't remember what it's called.

But....Dave Padden is still the singer and yes that will make any new Annihilator, no matter how good, almost fail. According to Jeff, Dave wants to try something new on the upcooming album. Even Jeff doesn't know what he wants to do. Also Mike Mangini (spelling?) is no longer drumming. But if it can be as good as Schizo, then I personally wont mind. I liked Schizo Deluxe, for the most part.

man i love annihilator....but that new album "metal" was the worst i've heard in a long time...

I've been listening to Metal a lot this last week or so. And yes compared to other Annihilator albums and albums by most other bands, it's not very good. But I also don't think it's as bad as people make it out to be. I really like Clown Parade, Downright Dominate, Haunted, Operation Annihilation, and Chasing the High. There are better songs out there than these, and it may be because that every other song on the album is pretty shit, but I honestly do not mind this album. Now I hope that the new album goes back to sounding something like Schizo Deluxe, because I really liked that album.

Liking Metal can't be as bad as others liking the new Nickelback can it?
