Dutch FTW!

And I guess The Wire is the way to go.

Just finished season 2 of The Sopranos last night, how could you do it Pussy.

Oh, and whoever said that The Shield is not very good can not be trusted for any tv recomendations ever again. The Shield is one of my all time favourite shows to ever be on tv. Seasons 4 and 5 are the best seasons of any show I have ever seen, ever.

Season 6 is good, just don't be expecting the awesomeness of season 5. And so far I have only watched one episode of season 7, but a friend of mine is all caught up on every episode in season 7 and he says that it's some of the craziest moments he's ever seen in the show.

Well, it'll be nice to get a breather I suppose, haha. Totally not expecting that season 5 finale there... brutal.

Oh yeah and it makes season 6 all the more intense/dramatic. Just not as good as season 5, as I already said. I accidently told my friend that Shane killed Lem thinking that he has already seen it on tv, but I was wrong and he got upset. So I will do my best to not ruin anything from season 6 for you.

:) I am currently watching season 2 of Battlestar Galactica (over halfway through). Gets better, but seems like for every episode not up to par with the rest, it needs a couple to get back on track... Although I dig the doctor! :D

Cool. Battlestar Galactica is the best show on TV if you ask me. I just hate them for splitting the final season so we'll have to wait until 2009 to see the conclusion, which will be AWESOME. They're also making a bunch of BSG films that develop the story a bit. Like Razor, they supposedly take place a while back in the storyline.

Oh and they're creating a new series called Caprica. It's about two families, the Greystones and the Adamas, who you've probably heard of, and how the Cylons came to be. I think it looks really, really good. But then I'm really into dramas.

Hmm, sounds cool.

Now I only got two episodes left on season 3... I'm kind of indifferent to this show. Don't know why. It has many good moments and things going on, but also a lot of stuff could have been cut out. I thought the doctor was stinking cool in the first season. Now, he's just plain dull. :P I also feel that the show isn't really going somewhere. The storyline is exactly the same through every season: They wanna find earth and they jump away when the cylons arrive. The only things being a bit of a change was when they found Kobol, when they settled on New Caprica, when Starbuck exploded... well, that's pretty much it. What I think drags the show down is the poor picture quality and the way the show is being filmed. Especially when cameras are shooting inside Galactica. It's almost like you have to struggle to really grasp everything that's going on, the entertainment factor. I really think a science fiction show like this needs the kind of clear picture quality found on "Prison Break" and "Lost". It also needs chnage in environment, as the grey walls inside the Galactica get a bit tired after awhile... But then again, sometimes the show is great and it's just great to watch it, then a couple of episodes kick in and you wonder: what the fuck happened here? :D Also strange is that it seems the more I'm watching, the more I'm not surprised by the things that 's happening. Another thing is the characters. Usually when you've seen three seasons of a show, you should be well aquianted with the characters. But in this case I'm not. And I remember already in the second epidode of the first season they were out looking for water. Why the heck not build up a real and solid storyline first, to back up both the show and the characters!? Now, that's beyond me...

Wow, holy shit! That's almost like a review! Didn't mean to write THIS much.... I saw you all were finished with discussing Battlestar Galactica, but needed to get it off my chest... Still, not a bad show.

To all y'all George RR Martin fans:

A Song of Ice and Fire has been greenlit for a pilot by HBO!

Wooooooo!

http://www.thrfeed.com/2008/11/hbo-orders-fant.html

Now, this doesn't mean that the show will get a first season. But it is a step in the right direction and means we're getting closer.

i just came a little, and by a little i mean a lot!!

ASoIaF is a bit too heavy on details to get all the juice into a movie, but i always thought it would be perfect for a series. here's hoping they really make it happen.

They'll mess it up, totally. Peter Dinklage as Tyrion, the kid from the Narnia films as Brandon. I'm not optimistic.

Oh, I have more faith than that. If there's one network that could do ASoIaF, its HBO, and since they've done fantastic jobs with shows like Deadwood, Carnivale and Rome (which does have some similarities to ASoIaF), and since the scriptwriters have apparently done a good job so far according to Martin... I'm optimistic.

And did you hear that Peter Dinklage and the kid from Narnia are being casted, or is that just hope? Because Peter Dinklage would be awesome, and is probably the only person I can imagine right now playing Tyrion... Kid from Narnia, not so much.

No, just me being a miseryguts. Jude Law as Jaime. Nicole Kidman as Lady Stark. John Malkovitch as Lord Tywin. Nooo

And how on earth are they going to do Dany, specifically her marriage et al? Make her older, presumably, which spoils it.

Well, the chances of big movie stars being in the show are nil, which is good; lots of good tv actors and minor movie actors out there that would be good for roles. As for Dany and most of the kids, I'm thinking that all will be a bit older, especially the Starks (just because its damn hard to find good child actors, and also actors who won't grow ridiculous amounts over the course of a season- see Walt on Lost)- in the case of Dany, maybe they just won't show the sex scenes if she is underage. Anyway, I've always thought that ASoIaF could have benefited from its kids being slightly older (and Martin has publicly regretted not doing it), but we'll see what they do.

Finished the 4th book a few months ago. Knew it wouldnt work as a movie, but I wanted to see these characters on a screen of some sort and decided a series could work and then thought that no one would be interested in doing that. Glad to see I was wrong! :dio:

Entourage s4: 1st episode was poor, didn't like the documentary style, but it soon gets back to the usual quality. Dennis Hopper!

El Shieldo s6: Pretty awesome so far. Love how they make it so tense, as good as 5 but in a different way, Evan! :D SPOILER: Vic going off the rails and murdering the Spanish guy after beating him with a chain! Shane starting to go to pieces as his guilt overwhelms him! The cute Spanish chick snuggling up to Ronny! Claudette ordering Cavanaugh out of the interrogation room! All :omfg: :D

I find season 4 to be pretty average actually, excepting that awesome first episode. Season 5 is pretty amazing though.

Two new shows I've been enjoying lately are Crusoe and The Legend of the Seeker.
