Forefather - Steadfast

This is pretty damn good viking metal. The chorus riff on the title track is the best riff I've heard in a long time.

Best album ever.

Pretty good, I expected better from your review though. On my 5th listen now...

It's the kind of album you can listen to any time, any place, and love it. You'll keep coming back to it. Listen to other Rush, and then compare it. Wonderful album.

NP: Celtic Frost - Into The Pandemonium

Your fault James! This is actually pretty good stuff. Basically last album and EP + random French women, so far at least.

I don't know if I love or hate that album. Sometimes it's amazing and other times it sounds so bland.

A lot of the riffs are amazing, but they are not backed up by great vocals or songwriting. So, amazing elements but overall not so hot, IMO.

Sabotage is a lot better than Paranoid.

Janvs - Vega

Ooh, they've gone all post-Black. Awesome, like recent Enslaved but less catchy. Review for next week.

Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.
Elton John is a good piano player but he sucks on the organ...
