I once heard a guy claiming Virtual XI was Maiden's best album.
Your post reminded me of this Trooper of Sheet... Oups, Steel.

:lame:

Virual XI is one of their better albums, IMO...after their "classics", of course. Same goes with X Factor

Man, I will now doubt all your recommandations and reviews.

They are just my personal choices...take them how you will. I among quite a lot of Maiden fans, did actually enjoy the Blaze Bayley era of Iron Maiden

Flick of the Switch is the second best Brian Johnson CD, no doubt.

Who Made Who contains one of their (IMO) best post-Back in Black song (the title track), plus two other original kick ass instrumentals. It also has the only really great song off For Those About to Rock ..

I'm also a big fan of Fly on the Wall .. some bonafide classic songs on there.

Razor's Edge, not my style, no comment. Ballbreaker is below average for any band, let alone AC/DC.

All the Bon Scott stuff .. essential listening. My favorite is probably Powerage because of it's consistency, although that's a tough call. Check out the video for 'It's a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll)'

I quite enjoyed Ballbreaker, it has some awesome songs on there. Because I'm sensing that as you mentioned you didn't like The Razors Edge, then it's understandable that you didn't like Ballbreaker.

So what about Stiff Upper Lip, was or not to your liking?

Anyway, if people out there are interested in Ballbreaker, some great songs include: "Hard As A Rock" "Hail Caesar", "The Furor", "Love Bomb" and "Whiskey On The Rocks"

I didn't mind it at all, and I also like 90% of Black Ice quite a bit now after many listens :)

Now don't get me wrong here, I absolutely love AC/DC... But all of their songs are fairly similar, so.... I would reccomend ALL of them! Haha

Disagree.

For years I thought this, without ever really giving them a listen. That is, until last year. Now I'm a fan. Their stuff does not sound the same, in terms of the songs. What sounds the same, and what seems to make people think the songs are similar, is the guitar tone. Angus's guitar tone is consistent throughout. That's it.

But like any band with that many CDs, there are some songs that are somewhat similar, but overall the songs stand on their own.

And Flick of the Switch is their best album. Can't believe that one wasn't huge.

I've listened to every album, front to back, more times than I can count. It's not that the songs aren't individual and unique, it's that their sound remains consistent across their discography (except, of course, when they lost Bon Scott-RIP-and replaced him with Brian Johnson.) really, ALL of their albums are great
