Seeing bands perform live is the best gauge of their quality, anyways
yes. obviously a bootleg quality recording and a video of them as a 2-piece playing a song that sounds nothing like their other material is "seeing them live." (which i've been lucky enough to do =D)also them looking like virgins and grandpas has everything to do with the quality of their music.
I checked out at least 5 or so of their vids...
not even slightly impressed. No way, no how am I shelling out any bread or using up precious bandwidth / disk space to listen to this stuff, so the youtube vids are gonna have to do.
One: It's not as if I posted high quality non-bootleg Maiden clips (who I've seen live in their prime), so, quitchya bitchin.
Two: They actually sound about what they look like.
Three: I don't need high quality
recording to suss whether or not the
material is quality. I listen to a bit of raw BM, and have trained my ears to listen to the music, and not only the sound quality
Fourth: If they are so far ahead of Maiden "in every conceivable way". the quality of the video (which was actually better than that of the old videos of Maiden circa 1981), the "bootleg quality", as you put it, would be a moot point.
and
Five: If you had said "Nomeansno is underrated" it would have been left at that, as this band means zero to me; but you said

"actually Nomeansno's music is better than Maiden's in every conceivable way; this is objective scientific fact that has been proven by research and charts. Number of the Beast is pleasant to listen to a couple of times a year but great metal band?"
erm, wrong.
