Yes, Narita and Fire Down Under are better than this one.
Still a good album though but the all "pedal to the metal" thing make them lose their initial charm.
I have to disagree. You really can't compare "Thundersteel" to "Narita" or anything during the Guy Speranza era. As far as the classic Guy Speranza era Riot, "Fire Down Under" is by far their best album. I think "Rock City" would be a close second and even though I like "Narita" as well, I just don't find it as strong as the other two. As far as the heavier Riot, "Thundersteel" is excellent and blows away most Riot albums that followed. Mark Reale transformed his guitar style from a classic rock sound to more of a power metal one with "Thundersteel".
