He might be right, I'm afraid, unless your confusion is because it is an EP rather than a full-length.

Other great thrash debuts would be Coroner- RIP and Tankard- Zombie Attack

RIP is a great album but nowhere as good as the other ones. (except maybe for Grin)

It's not as influential as the other ones, but The Ultra-Violence is the only one I can enjoy today without having to tell myself "this was amazing 20 years ago," like I have to do with the others.

Yeah, I never really thought of Sentence as an EP, though you're right, it is one.
Still, only one good track out of six.
Never heard Tankard, but Coroner kicks a lotta ass.

Possessed Seven Churchs.
Though considered by many to be Death Metal...
Burning In Hell, Satan's Curse, Evil Warriors, Holy Hell, Pentagram, The Exorcist...
these molten slabs of metal are chock full of thrash riffs.
Back then the distinction between genres was often a blur anyways.

Argument over. :D

And aren't most debut albums rerecorded demos, anyways? Surely a debut is a band's first full-length release?

I still thinks nothing beats the awesomeness of Feel The Fire.

To whoever that mentioned Seven Churches yeah that album should have been included, another awesome debut would be Voivod - Voivod.

----------------
Now playing: Overkill - Hammerhead
via FoxyTunes

Okay, I'll admit that the only one I've really heard is Kill'em All.

I might like to hear Show No Mercy some day, though. And Megadeth's version of The Mechanix would probably also be interesting.

Well, seems like i've taken a lot of shit for my poll options.

We could always start a new one and forget this one ever happened....? Just to see which album would be the real winner?

Just a thought.

No one has voted for Annihilator? That album was pretty damn good.

I agree, one of the best, but not the best.

If you like Kill'em All just don't hesitate:get Bonded by Blood;and then get The Ultra Violence and Forbidden Evil(believe me they're awesome).

If you like Rust in Peace, get Alice in Hell, you'll probably like it.

And the first Megadeth and Slayer albums are imo their best(actually a tie with Peace Sells in Megadeth's case, and the Haunting the Chapel Ep,in Slayer's).

I encourage everyone to check out Vio-Lence's Eternal Nightmare if you haven't had the chance, fucking psychotic album.

Indeed. That was when Rob Flynn really knew how to thrash, before he decided to become a looser and to create the abortion named Machine Head.

Killing is My Business... is much better than Kill 'Em All. The Mechanix is like The Four Horsemen on steroids. Its faster and angrier, with goofy but funny lyrics to boot.

You're right, that whole album is really a kick in the face.
