Hmm... really hard to decide. All of these album are fucking awesome, but I'll go with Show No Mercy.

Easily, because it's the only one you know from the list. :P

To me though, the greatest thrash debut ever is
Sadus - Illusions (chemical exposure)
with Forbidden Evil as a close second

Yeah, yeah, they ripped off Mustaine, except they did the songs with him and he is credited.
And, well, they ripped off Exodus too, except that Kirk just left with some of his material...
Come on! Seriously, that was stupid of you Wsx26!

I was saying that because I knew it would get some idiot reacting and you dutifully answered the call.

I could say alot of other stuff like that you know like, they ripped off Diamond Head too, and they even ripped off Mercyful Fate if you ask me, they ripped us all off. Exodus have proven they didn't need that pussy Kirk if you ask me. Blah blah blah if you ask me blah blah blah. I thought it was obvious.

Anyway, I'll go to sleep now, tool.

Criticizing only Metallica for ripping off Diamond Head when you are talking about Mustaine in the same post is hypocritical.

I don't think you understand sarcasm or how to use it.

Alright, just to clarify.

Testament's debut is not listed because I forgot....(I meant to include it)

Vio-Lence's debut I forgot as well, otherwise probably would have included it.

Overkill's debut and Forbidden's debut were not listed because I've never heard them...I only have later albums by each band.

Endless pain is not listed because I think its a shit example of what Kreator would eventually become, therefore in my opinion a shit debut. Maybe a bad call on my part, but whatever, my opinion stands.

And as for all the rest of the debuts mentioned...well, i couldn't possibly put down every great debut, i tried to synthesize it to the undeniable classics. Besides...those albums are all great, but honestly, if you had the choice would you REALLY vote for them instead of Exodus, Slayer, Megadeth and Metallica?

I think only a couple of you would honestly say yes to that.

Dark Angel - Darkness Descends, FTW...

Metallica blew then, and they blow now, get over it. Kill em All is watery eyed, boringly anemic and weak, and it all went steeply downhill from there.
Yer don't like that? I don't care.
Exodus - Bonded By Blood puts Kill 'em All to shame, any fucking day of the week.
A close second would have to be Show No Mercy, but Slayer peaked with Hell Awaits n my ever so humble opinion.

Well, it is their first real album since We Have Arrived was just a bunch of demos recorded on different occasions. And comon Thrashtilldeth you can't call Kreator's Endless Pain a shit debut, it was the precursor to one of the greatest albums of all time wich hasn't even got a review yet by the way (sorry it was too tempting). You should really get Overkill's debut, fucking amazing album!

Glad to see I'm not the only one thinking Metallica are overrated and got really lucky..

For all intents and purposes it is.

Endless Pain is another great album, and I agree, not a crappy debut at all. Does it hold up against Pleasure To Kill? Probably not.
A crappy debut would be Destruction - Sentence of Death.
I never understood why Metallica is so highly praised; they always seemed kinda wimpy to me. Exodus -BBB has that rip-off-your-face violent aggression that good thrash needs.

I would change my vote if we went by that standard. Darkness Descends annihilates everything.

He might be right, I'm afraid, unless your confusion is because it is an EP rather than a full-length.

Other great thrash debuts would be Coroner- RIP and Tankard- Zombie Attack
