One more thing. If I were asked to choose between the two bands that I know that have existed, that have called themselves Dragonfly, I would most certainly choose the NWOBHM one. I highly recommend everyone listen to their excellent EP "Spacebound." The lead song "Silent Nights" is particularly excellent.

but unfortunately heavy metal is not about horse back riding in Andalucia with your beloved Isabel.

I lived in Spain between Septemer and June (in Andalucia actually :P ) and I can agree that he could be a spanish pop singer, but I think he fits this band quite well. He might not have the most true metal voice, but this isn't the "truest" metal out there either. And I got the impression that most spanish pop singers can really sing, which is more than I can say about many american and swedish pop singers.

This singer sounds exactly like the lead singer from Galneryus.

I will have to re-listen to them then, never really liked them so much, even though they're from Japan... did they change singer ?

No, same guy. And I would figure they'd be right up your alley.

The correct name of the song is "angeles con una sola ala", not "angeles cona una sola", and it means "angels with one sole wing", excellent song by the way, and a very nice surprise :D

Hi! Great band! I'm from Spain and I have to say that there are one of the bests bands of Spain.

I recommended you listen the first record too: Domine.

This song, "Solo depende de ti" is an example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9uc_F1XcRLc

I don't believe you Chris, but I'll give this a listen anyway since I too love this kind of power metal, though not as much recently.

Srly, you should try being a little less enthusiastic when writing about the next majestic, epic, symphonic, melodic whatever power metal. In your review you "almost" stated this was the best power metal album ever released and a score of 97 shouldn't be given so easily. Even the new Amon Amarth doesn't deserve such high score and yet it's my album of the year.

I would normally agree, but when an album makes me "vibrate" that much, and for so many months now, I have no other choice :). I don't expect everyone to love it as much as me, but people with similar taste will probably love that album if they like the Spanish vocals. Its one of the best power metal album of this century (FOR ME) so far, so the quote is adequate if you take this into account.

Just my 2 cents
Chris

When this is coming from you then I simply MUST get my hands on this album! After all, "Hellfire Club", "A Flame To The Ground Beneath", "Paradise In Flames" and the Avantasia albums are all in my all-time favourite playlist too! And these are just some of the albums I got a hold of after reading your reviews. Great minds think alike! :D
